Sometimes, a researcher may ask you to verify certain details before or after a study. While basic screening questions about your demographics (gender, age, race, etc.) are normal, you should never be asked to provide sensitive account or personal information.

If a researcher is asking you for sensitive info through a Connect project or messages, especially anything related to your Connect account (username and password), personal ID, or financial data, this is a fraudulent request, and you should report it to us by emailing connect-support@cloudresearch.com. 

If you believe you shared your account information or clicked on a suspicious link:

Please do the following immediately

• Reset your Connect password
  Go to your account settings and choose a new, strong password.

• Enable Two-Factor Authentication (2FA)
  This adds an extra layer of security to protect your account from unauthorized access.
