Connect offers participants the opportunity to rate researchers after each project is complete. We believe that a reputation rating system that works both ways—researchers rate participants and participants rate researchers—encourages good behavior and accountability from everyone involved.
How to Rate Researchers
After you interact with a project, you can rate your experience. Specifically, you can give the project a rating between 1 and 5 stars and provide written comments to the researcher. After selecting an overall rating, you can rate specific details about a project, including user experience, fairness, time and compensation.
All feedback is optional, but serves two purposes. First, other participants can see a researcher's rating when deciding whether to complete projects for that researcher or not. Second, CloudResearch may contact researchers with consistently low ratings and provide instruction for how to improve their studies on the site.
To rate a project, simply select a number of stars from 1 to 5. Your rating should be based on your overall experience in the project.
If you want to provide written feedback, perhaps to explain a low rating or to comment on why a rating was so high, you can do so. Simply type your comments into the box. Then, you can decide whether to share your comments with the researcher or make them only visible to CloudResearch.
When Can You Rate Researchers?
You can leave a rating anytime after you interact with a project - after submission, a return, or even after timing out. After taking a project, you can submit your rating right there an then, but can skip to do it later, even after you've been approved or rejected.
To do so, find your project in your Project History and click on its respective card. From the details page, simply click on the "Provide Feedback" button to leave your rating. Similarly, once you have submitted, you can always navigate back to the same page to see the rating you left for the researcher. We do encourage for our participants to give accurate and true ratings in order to help the quality of projects in our platform.
Can I Edit a Researcher Rating?
Once you rate a researcher there is no way to edit the feedback you provided. We hope to have this feature soon. If you prefer waiting to rate a researcher after your submission has been processed (approved or rejected), then select to skip the rating after you complete a project, return to the project history area to locate the specific study and select the “Provide Feedback” button.
