What is a Completion Code?
Within online research studies, researchers want to ensure that participants have completed a study before they are paid as a way to deter fraud. One way to verify that participants have reached the end of a study is with a completion code.
When using completion codes, the research team will program a code to appear on the last page of the project. Participants who navigate to the end and see the code then submit it with their study as evidence they went all the way through the task. In other instances, researchers may use an end-of-study redirect which requires no action on the part of participants.
How do I show I’ve completed a project?
If the project has a completion code, all you need to do is submit that code with your project. There will be a box for you to copy and paste the code just before you hit “Submit.”
If the project uses an end-of-survey redirect, you do not need to do anything other than navigate all the way through the project. Once you hit the final page you will be re-directed and your Connect ID will be automatically recorded.
